WorkNC promoted throughout Turkey by Sescoi’s new distributor, Armada Yazilim

From 1st January 2011, the Armada Yazilim company has been appointed the official, exclusive distributor for Sescoi’s automated CADCAM software, WorkNC, for the whole of Turkey. WorkNC has been used for many years by most of the world’s leading automotive OEMs and suppliers, including a number of those manufacturing in Turkey.

Armada Yazilim, a leading SolidWorks reseller, has dedicated itself to providing the Turkish manufacturing industry with the most advanced CAD, CAM and CAE software solutions. WorkNC CAD CAM, a SolidWork’s partner solution, is a perfect fit for the company.

By adding WorkNC to its portfolio, Armada Yazilim will give Turkish manufacturers the opportunity to achieve improved quality and higher productivity through the automated toolpaths in WorkNC. Machining strategies within the software allow hard metal machining, which can eliminate EDM operations; and automated 5-axis machining, which makes it possible to machine far more of a part in one setting. Ease of use has been a guiding philosophy for Sescoi, the developer of WorkNC. The intelligence built into WorkNC’s toolpaths makes it simple for engineers to optimize cutting performance on their machinery and implement advanced techniques such as 5-axis machining without the need for high levels of skill. Similarly, the software reduces costs by increasing tool life, and by minimizing extra finishing operations through the superior surface finishes it produces.

New, in WorkNC Version 21 to be launched on the Turkish market by Armada Yazilim in 2011, is the ability to take advantage of multiple processors with parallel computing algorithms. This produces calculation speed improvements of up to 10 times, further adding to the efficiency improvements possible with the software.
